Hi guys!!
So, thanks for all your notes. I’m ok! I was at a wedding in the woods Saturday night and afterwards we went down to the river and had a bonfire. I had been drinking white wine out of a mason jar like I was living in a Pinterest picture. As we went to leave I stepped in a hole on the beach that I was not expecting to step in and felt a sickening “pop!” :(
That pic was taken back at our cabin than night. The swelling has gone down quite a bit but its all black and blue and painful. I’m on crutches which fucking BLOWS. I haven’t been able to get to the dr. yet and I’m hoping I won’t have to but everyone is telling me to go get it X-rayed.
And of course my drunk ass tried to walk on it all the way back to our cabin and had to stop and sit down on the side of the road while John went back to get a car.
This is definitely the worst injury I’ve ever had and not being able to walk regularly is so terrible. ALSO! Yesterday we had to go to John’s sisters graduation from UVA and I had to be wheeled around on a wheelchair and people look at you so weirdly when you’re in a wheelchair, like they’re trying to diagnose what’s wrong with you. And then when we got to stairs I had to get out and try to hobble up them and I almost got to the top of one set and then I fell and skinned my knee in front of a bunch of people and I was so embarrassed I started to cry D: I was so fucking miserable.

We’re on our way home from that now and I’m doing better. Icing, ibuprofen, and an ace bandage are my current course of treatment. I’m taking John away next weekend for his birthday and I’ve been planning that for months so I really hope I can walk by then. Fingers crossed :/
